As the proud association partner of the Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) since 2017 & the Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA) since 2019, CricHeroes is proud to celebrate the incredible performances of both teams in this year’s Ranji Trophy. Their hard work, skill, and determination have taken them to the semi-finals, and we are excited to see them take the next step toward the championship.
Gujarat’s Strong Run
Led by captain Chintan Gaja, Gujarat has been in top form this season. They remained unbeaten in the group stage and carried that confidence into the quarter-finals, where they dominated Saurashtra with an emphatic innings-and-98-run victory. Their batting lineup, supported by a disciplined bowling attack, has been key to their success.
Now in the semi-final against Kerala at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat is looking to continue its winning momentum and book a place in the final.
Vidarbha’s Commanding Performance
Under the leadership of Akshay Wadkar, Vidarbha has been one of the most consistent teams this season. They topped their group with six wins and then delivered a strong quarter-final performance against Tamil Nadu, winning by 198 runs. Their all-round strength has made them a tough team to beat.
As they take on Mumbai in the semi-final at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur, the team will be relying on its key players and home advantage to push through to the final.
Standout Players
- Gujarat: Jaymeet Patel has been one of Gujarat’s most dependable batters, scoring 582 runs this season at an average of 48.50, including two centuries. His 103 in the quarter-final played a big role in Gujarat’s success. Manan Hingrajia has also been in great form, with 570 runs and two centuries.
- Vidarbha: Karun Nair’s experience has been crucial for Vidarbha, scoring 591 runs at 49.25, including three centuries. His 122 in the quarter-final set the stage for victory. On the bowling side, Harsh Dubey has been outstanding, leading the season’s wicket charts with 56 wickets at an average of 15.16.
Looking Ahead
With Gujarat and Vidarbha both in strong positions, they are just one step away from the Ranji Trophy final. Their performances so far have shown their ability to handle pressure, and now, it all comes down to these crucial matches.
CricHeroes wishes both teams the very best for the semi-finals. We have been proud to support their journeys and look forward to seeing them shine on the biggest domestic stage.
