In cricket, people often talk about talent, technique, and timing.
But if you look closely, the strongest players are shaped by something else. Their surroundings. The people they grow up watching. The effort they see every single day.

Jiteshri Damale’s story begins there. In Pathardi, a small town in Maharashtra, where cricket was never just a game for her. It quietly became a reflection of everything she saw at home.

Where it all started

Like most kids, Jiteshri’s cricket journey began in the backyard with her father. There was no big plan, no structured path, just the joy of playing.

Her father enrolled her in SV Net Academy in 2021, not with the intention of making her a cricketer, but to ensure she stayed active and fit. But somewhere along the way, the game became more than just fitness.

Even today, her journey is not easy. She travels nearly four hours from Pathardi to Pune every 15 days just to play matches. That effort, that consistency, has quietly become part of who she is.

There is nothing easy about their routine. But there is one thing that has always been clear. Support.

“Mujhe mere parents ne kabhi bhi kisi cheez ke liye naa nahi bola,” Jiteshri says.

For her, that matters more than anything else.

“Itni normal income mein bhi woh mere liye itna karte hai… that is the biggest motivation I can have.”

They did not talk about sacrifice. They just lived it.

Learning without being told

Jiteshri believes she did not learn hard work through instructions. She learned it by watching.

“Pura din mere papa driving karte hai,” she says. “He does it for us.”

Her mother adds her own perspective. Success brings confidence, but being able to stand on your own feet matters more.

Her father keeps it simple.

“Mehnat kiye bina success nahi milta.”

That environment shaped her thinking. It shows in how she approaches the game, without shortcuts, without excuses.

A player beyond her age

Today, Jiteshri has represented Maharashtra at the Under 15, Under 17, and Under 19 levels. She has also captained the team in age group cricket.

But what stands out is not just where she has played. It is how she plays.

Her coach highlights her calmness under pressure.

“Itni chhoti age mein, middle order mein jo maturity hai, that is rare.”

She reads the game well, stays composed, and plays according to the situation. Even when things get tough, she does not rush.

Her coach is confident that even if setbacks come in the future, she has the mindset to handle them. Because players like her are not built only on performance. They are built on how they think.

A superstar on CricHeroes

Jiteshri’s impact is clearly visible on CricHeroes as well.

  • 5000+ runs
  • 400+ wickets

She was also the runner-up in the All-Rounder of the Year (Female) category at the CricHeroes Awards 2025.

Her coach believes platforms like CricHeroes have played a role in shaping her identity as a cricketer. Performances are no longer limited to the ground. They are seen, tracked, and recognised.

For players like Jiteshri, that visibility matters. It gives their journey a wider stage.

What makes Jiteshri a changemaker

Jiteshri Damale is not just another young cricketer rising through the ranks. She represents something deeper.

She shows that where you come from does not decide where you can go. She shows that strong values can come from simple homes. And she shows that sometimes, the biggest lessons are not taught. They are observed.

“Tum kahan se aate ho yeh matter nahi karta,” her story says. “Tum kahan tak pohchte ho woh zaruri hai.”

She is a changemaker because she carries her surroundings with her. The work ethic of her parents, the belief they quietly showed, and the responsibility to
