In the competitive tennis ball cricket circuit of Kutch, Gujarat, Maeez Brer is a name that carries weight. Popularly known as the Tiger of Kutch and KGF, he has built his identity through match-winning all-round performances in local and open tournaments.

Fearless batting, smart bowling spells, and calm decision-making under pressure define his game. Over the years, Maeez has become a trusted player in high-stakes matches, especially in tournaments like the Kutchmitra Premier League.

Early life and education

Maeez Brer was born on 5 October 1998 in Bhuj, a historic city in Kutch, Gujarat. His cricketing roots were shaped far from big stadiums. Most of his learning came from local grounds and competitive street-level matches.

A major part of his early growth happened at Kharsara Ground, Bhuj, where multiple matches often ran side by side. These games demanded quick decisions and mental strength. They helped sharpen his instincts and confidence.

Maeez comes from a modest family background. His father is a poultry farmer. Despite limited resources, his family supported his interest in cricket and trusted his choices. That support quietly shaped his discipline and work habits.

He completed his schooling at St. Xavier’s School, where he took part in multiple sports. Those years helped him build athletic balance and match temperament. Later, he enrolled at JBTC Commerce College, but could not complete his studies as cricket required more time and travel.

At the school level, Maeez represented his team in the Kutchmitra Cup Under-17, one of the biggest school tournaments in the region. His all-round displays during this phase marked him as a player to watch.

A strong early influence was Ashif Kasam Mokha from Varnora, Kutch. His encouragement pushed Maeez to stay serious about cricket during his formative years.

His long-term goal remains clear. The Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) is his dream stage. He missed ISPL Season 3 due to unavoidable reasons and is fully focused on preparing for ISPL Season 4.
